How does FinWhale work?
FinWhale™ floats in your pool and uses built-in sensors to continuously test water chemistry every 20 minutes. Based on the readings, it automatically adjusts how much chlorine it releases to maintain proper sanitizing levels.
How often do I need to refill it?
FinWhale™ holds standard 1-inch or 3-inch chlorine tablets. Tablet Compatibility: Standard 1 or 3-inch tablets (up to 6 tablets for 3"). Refill frequency varies depending on pool usage, sun exposure, weather conditions, and bather load. Check the tablet compartment periodically and refill as needed.
Does it work with all pools?
FinWhale™ works with most residential in-ground and or above-ground pools up to 25,000 gallons, including vinyl liner, fiberglass, and concrete. Finwhale currently supports chlorine pools only. Salt pool support is on our roadmap.
How much chlorine should a pool have?
Most health authorities recommend maintaining free chlorine levels between 1.0 and 4.0 ppm. FinWhale™ is designed to maintain your pool within this ideal range automatically.
What is free chlorine?
